The Kettle River with the River Ramblers
I'm in the off-white Piroullet. Notice just behind Mark (in the purple Dagger) is Teacher's Hole. Ron (to my left in the orange kayak) is showing me his kettle River short-cuts while I try out the Piroullet for the afternoon's Kettle River Festival downriver race. This was my third run in 24 hours. By the time of the race, I had nothing left. The timer got confused but I believe I got 4th best time overall.

Neighborhood "Playspot"

This fairly easily accessible spot is 13.7 miles from my house, 3/4 the way down from Hwy. 8 input, on the Sand Creek, Jordan, MN.
I introduced myself to the people who own the house overlooking it, and they are okay with us cutting through the middle of those 4 unsold (and likely to remain that way) lots to their west of their house (left, as you look at the house), which puts you on a bank of the creek and an eddy, river left, between the hole and the standing waves before the railroad tressle. The snow fence is already tramped down and, be careful, there may be a hint of trampled-down barb wire or wire fence just before the creek. They only ask that you don't use or cut through their backyard. Apparently going down around the east side of the house is really steep.
To get there, go to Hwy 169 to Jordan and go Hwy 21, (or to the Burger King exit Hwy 282 and go right on Hwy 21), then cut up Sawmill Road (opposite 66 where you come out of city park) and look for the neighborhood with a sign "Saw Mill Woods", if you want to go from the plah spot and also run the standing waves, park at the sign and hoof it back to your dumped off boat. Or there is plenty of street parking by the four empty lots that overlook the railroad tressel.
If in the event the neighhood matures, you can hike right up the railroad tracks from that neighborhood sign to the railroad tressel and get to the hole.
